SPEICAL BENTONITES PBMA-EXTRA AND PBM-ETALON

PBMA-EXTRA and PBM-ETALON are used for the preparation of drilling fluids based on mineralized water (including sea water) and on salt saturated technical water and do not require any special water treatment before drilling fluid preparation.

These bentonites are produced in accordance with Technical Specification 08.12.22-19-41219638-2016 and Technical Specification 08.12.22-021-41219638-2017.

PBMA-EXTRA

• Has the ability to disperse in mineralized water;
• Produced from natural raw material without any synthetic polymers and salts of heavy polyvalent cations;
• Is used for borehole drilling in salt beds and chemogenic rocks. 

PBMA-ETALON

• Ensures stability of the borehole walls by “reinforcing” it with strong and elastic filter cake;
• Is used as a mineral ultra-dispersed base for drilling fluids with extremely high structural, mechanical and rheological properties together with high stability;
• Possesses extremely low fluid loss and is used in various corrosive medium.

SPECIFICATION:

• Have low sand content thus reducing wear on drilling equipment;
• Possesses optimal viscoplastic and filtration characteristics;
• Provides effective borehole cleanout;
• Using special bentonites no special water treatment (for water softening) is required before drilling fluid is prepared.
  
  

PBMA-EXTRA and PBM-ETALON are successfully used not only in oil and gas drilling, but in construction as well. The key is the possibility to use bentonite in low concentrated suspensions of 2-3 %! When drilling engineering boreholes using HDD method and in other construction works the usage of PBMA-EXTRA and PBM-ETALON allows to replace expensive imported bentonite mixtures without losing the quality of works performed.

The average consumption of PBMA-EXTRA for HDD (depending on the type of soil) makes 25-30 kg/m³, and consumption of PBM-ETALON makes 20-25 kg/m³. For example, it should take only 20 minutes to prepare PBM-ETALON-based drilling fluid for HDD; when the given period expires the Marsh funnel viscosity will make 45 sec. PBMA-EXTRA can be combined with any polymeric reagents traditionally using in HDD for regulation of flushing fluid properties, and PBM-ETALON, in principle, does not require any additional treatment of the flushing fluid, in other words, it is a mixture “all-in-one-bag”.
