ORGANOBENT\u00ae<\/sup> is a product of interaction of bentonite clay and quaternary ammonium compound.<\/p>\n\n

Organoclay ORGANOBENT\u00ae<\/sup> regulates the viscosity of formulations, prevents the settling of pigments and fillers, helps to reduce the dripping of coating from vertical and inclined surfaces, increases the covering power and reduces paint consumption.<\/p>\n\n

The use of rheological additive ORGANOBENT\u00ae<\/sup> in media of low and medium polarity is most preferable, the additive is optimal for aromatic solvents such as xylene and toluene.<\/p>\n\n

ORGANOBENT\u00ae<\/sup> products are analogues of such rheological additives as BENTONE\u00ae<\/sup> 34 by Elementis (Great Britain), as well as CP-34 by Camp Shinning (China), BP 138 by Huate Group (China), Claytone 34 and 40 by BYK (Germany), Agrimel B4, X4, S8, ED, XD by Laviosa (Italy).<\/p>\n\n

Dosage: <\/strong>0.2-5.0% depending on the formulation. The use of ORGANOBENT\u00ae<\/sup> is possible either with pre-activation or directly during the manufacture of the formulation, the approach depends on the components and the sequence of their introduction. The introduction of a rheological additive requires dispersion using high-speed mixers. It is possible to introduce the additive as a pregel (5-10%) into the solvent used. <\/p>\n\n

Currently, ORGANOBENT\u00ae<\/sup> is used at a wide range of paint and coatings factories.<\/p>\n\n
