Therefore, underground utility systems (utility networks) are being installed and reconstructed everywhere. <\/p>\n\n<p>The most optimal method for utility systems installation is <strong>horizontal directional drilling (HDD)<\/strong>. HDD allows to work under operating roads, structures, water bodies and other infrastructure facilities.  <strong>Bentonite is the base for HDD drilling fluid.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The requirements for HDD bentonite:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Specific structural, rheological and filtration properties of the drilling fluid \u2013 for effective cleaning of a drilling channel from drilled rock and stability of the well walls;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bentonite high swelling rate \u2013 drilling fluid preparation takes no more than 15\u201320 minutes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ultra-low sand content (less than 1%) to reduce equipment abrasive wear;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eco-friendliness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Considering all the requirements, the Bentonite Group\u2019s enterprise Krasnodar Plant of Industrial Minerals (KZPM) produces special bentonite of I-Bent series.
