Pharmaceutical Bentonite for Medicines, Dietary Supplements, and Cosmetics
Bentonite consists of natural minerals from the smectite group and, due to its high adsorption properties, is used in medicine, the food industry, and the production of dietary supplements and cosmetics.
Bentonite products supplied by the Bentonite Group of Companies can be used:
- in the production of enterosorbent pharmaceuticals in the form of powders, capsules, and suspensions;
- in the production of dietary supplements as a natural mineral component with high sorption capacity and a source of trace elements;
- in the cosmetics industry as a base for masks, creams, and spa products, where the absorption of excess sebum, moisture retention, and consistency stability are important.
For the pharmaceutical sector, the Bentonite Group of Companies supplies bentonite raw material from the Tagansky deposit (Eastern Kazakhstan), which is characterized by a montmorillonite content of up to 96%, high cation exchange capacity, and exceptional purity: the content of heavy metals and other undesirable impurities is significantly below the pharmacopoeial requirements for pharmaceutical substances.
Raw material of this quality is extracted using a selective method and undergoes multi-stage purification and processing, ensuring the stability of its physicochemical properties and the uniformity of its composition. All stages of production are accompanied by thorough laboratory monitoring.
Sorbent LLP (Republic of Kazakhstan) is a company within the Bentonite Group of Companies manufactures the Tagansorbent® dietary supplement series in powder form and Tagangel Aya in gel form, as well as Smektite- montmorillonite, a raw material for the food industry.
