Bentonit Company Limited is a managing company of BENTONITE Group of Companies with enterprises, operating mining and processing of bentonite clay, along with sale of bentonite-based products.

Production and scientific & technological potential of the company provides the leading position in the Russian bentonite market. The main raw materials source are the two most high-quality Russian deposits of bentonite located in Khakassia and the Kurgan region, as well as the Dash-Salakhly deposit - one of the world highest quality deposits in the world of natural sodium bentonite, located in the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

The core products of the company: 

- Crude and soda ash activated bentonite, bentonite-polymer compositions used in the manufacture of iron-ore pellets;

- Crude bentonite and bentonite powders for the foundry industry;

- Bentonite powders for drilling fluids, horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and civil engineering;

- Bentonite for agriculture;

- Bentonite for Cat Litter;

- Bentonite for wine and juice clarification;

- Bentonite for environmental applications. 

In 2014 the specialized technicians of Bentonite Group developed and commercialized in the Russian market the BENTACARB (bentonite-coal mix), a unique innovative product. Due to carbon content physical, mechanical and non-stick properties of the binding agent as well as moulding sand mixing have been improved. The new binding agent application technology does not require the upgrade of manufacturing equipment. 

That same year the company Kurgan Bentonite Limited became the first and the only Russian company licensed bythe American Petroleum Institute (API) and qualified to use its monogram on the company products: ОСМА GRADE bentonite for drilling fluids. 

Bentonite products are shipped either directly from production plants and also from storage facilities located in the Moscow region. 

In iron ore pelletizing sector– OJSC Karelsky Okatysh, OJSC Evraz Kachkanarsky GOK, OJSC Mikhailovsky GOK, OJSC OEMK, OJSC Lebedinsky GOK, JSC Stoilensky GOK, JSC Donskoy GOK (Kazakhstan) etc.;
In Oil & Gas Drilling sector– PJSC Rosneft, OJSC Surgutneftegas, PJSC Lukoil, Burgaz Ltd. and other leading oilfield service companies;
In Metal casting sector – PJSC AVTOVAZ, GAZ Group Ltd., OJSC Ural – Automotive plant, Yaroslavl Motor Plant Avtodizel OJSC, Altaivagon OJSC, JSC Mtsensk Foundry etc.

The company pays particular attention to R&D in investigation of physical and chemical properties of clay minerals, improvement of mining and processing of clays; the company is also involved in the development of new products. In our activity we use the latest developments of leading research institutes with specific experience of R&D experts. Studying of montmorillonite-polymers interaction for the development of high-performance materials is one of the focus areas of our research work. 

Production technologies of main products of Bentonit Company Ltd. are protected by the patents of the Russian Federation, and the product quality is strictly controlled by the production plants’ laboratories certified by Rosstandart (Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology).
