Bentonite of Khakassia LLC

Bentonite of Khakassia LLC is located in Chernogorsk (Republic of Khakassia). The company is engaged into mining and processing of bentonite clay.

Production capacities allow to process 640 thousand tons of bentonite per year into the following types of products: activated clay – 330 thousand tons, bentonite powder – 230 thousand tons, bentonite granules – 80 thousand tons.

The company also manufacturers cat litters. The product mix includes cat litters of private label brand Pi-Pi Bent Deluxe, Pi-Pi Bent, Kotyara, SiSiKat, NoName of wide price range from low-budget to premium with special properties.

The company has its own research laboratory. One of the research projects is studying compacted bentonite properties for burying high-level radioactive wastes.
