BENTOMIX®
Clay-polymer mixture BENTOMIX® for modification of sand into barrier composition
BENTOMIX® is a clay-polymer mixture, based on bentonite clay, designed for modification of local drainage soil into a barrier mixture for impervious screens.
To achieve optimal parameters of the barrier mixture, it is necessary to mix the clay-polymer mixture BENTOMIX® (in concentration from 12 to 16%) with local sandy soil.
PROPERTIES:
- High waterproofing properties: filtration coefficient of 10-10-10-11 m/sec;
- Self-healing in case of mechanical damage;
- Stability: on slopes, shear and ground settlement;
- Eco-friendliness: due to sorption properties of bentonite clay absorbing hydrocarbons, heavy metal cations and radioactive nuclides;
- High bearing capacity;
- High resistance to dehydration and shrinkage;
- Durability: the service life is comparable to this of the facility.
